Jeanwoo finally obtained the last ingredient needed for the Elixir of Life, and thankfully, its crafting was a success. Without wasting any time, he arrived at the hospital to cure his mother’s eternal sleep. Under the moonlight, Jinwoo prayed fervently for the elixir to work, and fortunately, it did; his mother awoke. All the suffering and hardship Jinwoo endured had led to this moment, and it had all paid off.
Meanwhile, Go Gun-Hee announced the fourth raid on Jeju Island, as the ants were evolving and heading towards Japan. South Korea and Japan joined forces to send their best S-Rank hunters, with Goto leading the Japanese Hunters. Go Gun-Hee called Jinwoo, hoping he would participate in this raid. However, before Jinwoo could answer, he sensed the magical surge as all the S-Rank hunters warmed up in the gymnasium. The Japanese Hunters arrived, observing them. Goto proposed a friendly duel, but Go Gun-Hee excluded the mage-type hunters. So, a Japan versus South Korea hunters’ team match began. Goto, being too strong, didn’t participate. The rules were simple: whoever grabbed the opponent’s wrist or back, or made the opponent fall, would be the winner.
The match started. They were all S-Rank hunters, and Choi Jong-In worried about the building, even though it was enhanced by top-grade essence stones. Go Gun-Hee thought they’d have to re-evaluate its durability. In the fight, Baek Yoonho couldn’t go all out, and Kamamoto was purely defensive, eventually running off. Goto was testing the Korean hunters and became a little serious to attack Kamamoto. On the other side, Ma Dong-Wook had already lost his match, and that archer lost too, leaving only Cha Hae-In and Baek Yoonho. Baek Yoonho found himself in a tough spot fighting against two, while Cha Hae-In gained the upper hand. Known as a “dancer” for her swift and accurate moves, she won her match and tried to help Baek Yoonho. But instinctively, she attacked Kamamoto too hard when he tried to stop her, causing him to go berserk. Jinwoo had to step in to stop him easily. Goto couldn’t believe Jinwoo was a mage-type hunter and decided to find out the truth himself. Jinwoo told Cha Hae-In to give up because Baek Yoonho had also lost his match. Goto’s assistant informed Jinwoo that Goto wanted a match. Jinwoo agreed on the condition that Goto went all out. Goto thought Jinwoo was getting ahead of himself.
Far away, Jin-Ah saw the news about the Jeju Island raid on TV and decided to enlist in the defensive force. Back at the gymnasium, everyone sat down to watch Jinwoo’s match. Cha Hae-In had seen Jinwoo clear an A-Rank dungeon easily but still doubted if he could win against the S-Rank Goto. Baek Yoonho felt the same, as Jinwoo was supposedly a mage-type, but strangely, he was excited to watch. Just as Jinwoo got ready, Goto attacked him in a flash. Goto realized there was no way Jinwoo was a mage, as he was dodging his attacks. Plus, Jinwoo’s smile made him wonder if he was being mocked. Goto tried to go extra hard on Jinwoo, but since he couldn’t land a hit, he decided to go for the kill. However, Jinwoo easily blocked his attack. Seeing this, both decided to go all out, and the others had to step in to stop them before they seriously harmed each other. Jinwoo had observed their skill levels and even attached five of his soldiers to five of them. As for the raid, Jinwoo decided to pass. Goto told Renji about Jinwoo, but he saw Jinwoo wasn’t enlisted for the Jeju Island raid. Soon, others also received the roster, and Choi Jong-In thought that with fifteen top-ranked S-Rank hunters, they would win this time. It hadn’t even been a month since Jinwoo’s mother woke up after four long years, so he wanted to stay and support her.
Meanwhile, the Ant Queen on Jeju Island saw her offspring devouring each other due to hunger. Needing resources, she placed her hope on the strongest child that had just hatched. Unaware of Beru’s successful birth, the day for the Jeju Island raid neared, and almost everyone was talking about it. Jinwoo’s friend, Jinho, also wanted to enlist in the defensive force, but Jin-Ah disagreed because he was only an A-Rank, which was too low. Almost all the hunters with high ranks decided to answer this call of duty. With the next sunrise, preparations were complete near the island. Military fleets on the ocean and foot soldiers on land were all on watch duty, in case any ant army tried to leave their nest and head towards land. Almost all the best-ranking hunters were on guard. The Japanese hunters entered Jeju Island, and then it was the Korean hunters’ turn for the mission. Even Ma Dong-Wook, who was retired, decided to join, and Goto had split up his hunters all around the island. The Korean team was on their way for the mission. The government was live broadcasting, and the cameraman was also an A-Rank hunter. Once everyone was in position, Goto and his team released their magic to attract the ants. Some ants approached the chopper, and Choi Jong-In took care of them with his firepower, excited to go all out on those ants again. The Japanese hunters could only distract the ants for an hour, and the military fleet deployed signals to interfere with the ants’ link to the queen. The Japanese hunters were doing well, and the attack team sealed off the nest. Now they had to find their way to the queen. Choi Jong-In used his flame balls to find the deepest route. On the other hand, Jinwoo was completing his daily quests while the S-Rank hunters made their way to the queen. There, they found the egg chamber and the biggest egg that had hatched. It was terrifying to think what had come out of it. Kenzo of the Japanese team asked their healer to heal him, but in a flash, her head was chopped off by Beru.
