Summary Of Lord Of Mysteries Anime Episode 4

On a dark night, a mysterious man was torturing his servant for failing to retrieve and decipher the Antigonist family’s notebook. The servant, who worked for the Aurora Society, begged for his life, explaining that the notebook looked ordinary due to protective magic. He had sacrificed many people trying to decode it, but all died, and the cipher ended up in the hands of the Nighthawks. Enraged, the master was about to cut out his servant’s tongue and kill him, but the servant quickly revealed that one of the sacrifices, Klein, was still alive and could be useful. This earned him one last chance, but with a warning—failure would lead to a brutal death.

Meanwhile, Klein headed to the Nighthawk headquarters, where Mr. Neil was teaching him ritual magic to improve his abilities as a Seer. Neil warned that someone of Klein’s level should never perform rituals alone, especially not seeking help from the darkness, or risk falling into the abyss. Neil demonstrated by preparing a ritual—lighting candles and drawing boundaries—while chanting. Klein expected something grand but was dumbfounded when Neil casually asked the spirits for help in repaying a 30-pound debt.

When Klein confronted him, Neil laughed and took him outside, showing him a wallet on the ground. Klein suspected foul play, but Neil explained that ritual magic is pure and harmless. When the wallet’s wealthy owner arrived, Neil returned it and received a 30-pound reward, leaving Klein astonished.

Later, Klein reflected on Emperor Roselle’s journals, pondering how to properly digest the potion and act like his Beyonder class. His thoughts were interrupted when a girl named Angelica approached with a flyer for the city’s Divination Club. Seeing a chance to better play the role of a Seer, Klein joined.

There, a diviner named Glacis predicted that Klein wouldn’t return to his destination soon but might in the distant future. When Glacis began coughing heavily, Klein examined his aura and advised him to see a doctor. Glacis, surprised, asked if Klein was a doctor, but Klein revealed he was a Seer.

Angelica then mentioned that their best diviner, Vincent, had predicted the appearance of a great Seer, piquing Klein’s curiosity. She led him to Vincent’s lecture on mirrors. Observing from the door, Klein noticed Vincent using white magic and appearing harmless. As the class ended, Vincent gave a girl a gift, and when she passed by Klein, he felt an ominous sensation but dismissed it.

Introducing himself to Vincent, Klein received a fortune reading that left Vincent impressed. He advised Klein to leverage family and social gatherings to achieve his goals, leaving Klein deep in thought. Grateful yet shocked by the session’s price, Klein was relieved it was free this time.

Returning home, Klein started deciphering Vincent’s advice, contemplating how to use the Gray Fog World and its residents to return home. He began planning rituals aimed at himself. Just then, a noise at the door interrupted him. He burned his notes and found his sister Melissa had sent a handmade turtle doll to remind him to relax. When Klein accidentally mistook it for a turtle (it was supposed to be a human), he unintentionally insulted her.

Later, Melissa invited Klein to her friend’s birthday feast. Remembering Vincent’s advice about family gatherings, Klein decided to go. Afterwards, he summoned his special world again, calling upon The Hanged Man and Justice, using his Seer powers to glimpse their truths. He congratulated Audrey on becoming a Spectator and observed their unique symbols, representing their Beyonder classes—though some symbols appeared incomplete and held dual meanings.

Klein allowed the two to speak freely, and Miss Justice remembered she had three questions to ask. First, she asked about the role of the Spectator. The Hanged Man explained that Spectators always stay in the background, observing without taking the spotlight, and that controlling one’s emotions is key to embodying the potion. However, Klein corrected him, adding that acting and digesting the potion are crucial, which surprised The Hanged Man, who thanked Klein for the insight.

Next, Miss Justice asked what would happen if an animal drank the potion, revealing that her dog had accidentally ingested some. The Hanged Man replied that if the dog didn’t die or become a monster, it might have become a Beyonder animal. Finally, she complained about her father’s troubles and the failing government. Klein suggested holding an open exam for nobles and commoners alike to find skilled people for government positions. His advice surprised them both, and they thanked him.

Klein then told them this free advice was a down payment for what he wanted: he asked them to gather the Roselle journals for him. This shocked The Hanged Man, who wondered how Klein knew about them. Klein also requested they cast a luck-improving spell on him every Sunday, which they agreed to. When Miss Justice asked about the spell, Klein told them, leaving The Hanged Man stunned, as no one should have known that incantation. This deepened their respect and submission toward Klein.

After ending the meeting, Klein returned home, noting that Sunday was his day off and he could handle any surprises. From his window, he saw his siblings Benson and Melissa, pondering if he could slowly reveal his Beyonder identity to them. The day passed peacefully, and soon it was time for Melissa’s friend’s birthday party. At the party, Klein discovered the friend’s sister was Selena, the girl he saw at Vincent’s class, but she didn’t recognize him. She even complimented his looks, while her sister Elizabeth, who worked at Vincent’s place, also chatted with him.

Suddenly, Alger’s voice echoed in Klein’s head, performing the Sunday ritual as requested, but Klein ignored it and continued enjoying the party. While fetching food, Elizabeth assured him that Selena didn’t know his Seer identity. Then Melissa teased him about marriage, embarrassing Klein when she mentioned that Elizabeth was just 16.

Meanwhile, the girls gathered upstairs where Selena brought out the magic mirror gifted by Vincent. She performed a spell to activate it, which let them see visions about their future husbands. However, Klein sensed a dangerous aura from the room. At the same time, we saw Vincent, exuding a sinister presence, saying, “It’s time, Klein Moretti. Time for the sacrifice.”

Alarmed, Klein used his pendulum and detected grave danger nearby. He rushed upstairs and found the girls watching the mirror when suddenly, a wild, monstrous girl appeared in the reflection. Klein realized it was too late to evacuate the girls safely. Worse, Selena had already been affected, and her friends were falling one by one.

Remembering Neil’s teachings, Klein searched for ritual supplies—fortunately, everything needed was in the room. But before he could complete the ritual, Selena, now a monster, attacked. Vincent, speaking through her, boosted her powers, causing Selena to bind Klein with her hair and drain his spiritual power. Vincent demanded to know what Klein had discovered about the Antigonist family notebook. As Klein grew weaker, his thoughts went to his sister Melissa, regretting that he might die and leave her alone.

Just as hope was fading, Miss Justice completed her luck ritual from afar, giving Klein a sudden surge of power. He broke free, enraging Vincent, who sacrificed his own arm in a desperate magical attack to kill Klein. But Klein, using the last of his strength, completed the ritual, purifying Selena and eliminating the evil power with a final bullet.

This finally severed the connection between Selena and Vincent, returning Selena to normal. Afterward, Klein promised himself never to involve his family in mysterious or dangerous matters again.

Meanwhile, Vincent, realizing his failure, tried to escape before his master could punish him. But his master appeared right at his doorstep and crushed him like an insect.

Later, Klein brought Dunn to the divination club, explaining that Vincent had given Selena the cursed mirror, which hinted that he was part of the Aurora Society. Upon arriving, they discovered Vincent’s corpse, his arm still missing. Klein confirmed that the spells at the scene matched those on Selena’s mirror.

Dunn then used his magical ability to glimpse the evil entity behind the society. What he saw left him stunned—a grotesque creature, its entire body tightly bound with only a single eye visible.

Meanwhile, on her birthday, Miss Justice woke up in Backlund to her servants preparing her clothes. She celebrated happily with her dog Suzie, but got the biggest shock when she discovered that Suzie could now speak like a human—an unexpected effect of the potion the dog had accidentally drunk.
