Then Shiki‘s focus shifts toward the coffin, curiosity rising as he wonders what might be sealed inside. Without saying much, Tsubakiri swings the coffin door open, and a man clad in full Momotero gear steps out. The man loudly proclaims his mission to wipe out every last Oni, and Shiki instantly realizes this must be another of Tsubakiri’s undead puppets.
Disgusted, Shiki accuses him of being a heartless freak, asking how anyone could be so twisted as to turn the corpses of their former allies into mindless slaves. Tsubakiri lets out a long, tired sigh. He insults Shiki, calling him a dull-headed fool who can’t think past clichés. He explains that humans have something called free will, and this particular zombie had actually given Tsubakiri permission to reanimate him after death.
Shiki still can’t wrap his head around why anyone would willingly choose that. But before he can protest, the zombie suddenly activates his ability. Waves of dark energy pulse toward Shiki’s chest, and within seconds, his body becomes so heavy that he can barely stay on his feet. As the zombie repeatedly uses the same skill, Tsubakiri casually explains that whenever he revives another Momotero, he also gains access to their original abilities. The one he’s using now specializes in altering the air itself, mixing bacterial pressure with oxygen and making the surrounding atmosphere heavier than steel.
Meanwhile, the zombie keeps echoing the same line over and over about wiping out the Oni. Tsubakiri chuckles and admits he was surprised the first time he heard it speak. He still doesn’t know whether it’s fueled by lingering hatred or sheer determination, but whatever force animates this corpse, it perfectly embodies the Momotero’s extreme sense of duty. He then leans over Shiki, taunting him, asking how long he plans to hold out against an opponent that completely outclasses him.
Meanwhile, Naito and a group of Oni are trying to break through the obsidian black barrier that Samidare has surrounded the HQ with. Their weapons splinter and break the moment they strike the wall, leaving them frustrated. Some start discussing whether they should search for another entrance, but Naito quickly shuts the idea down, stating that this type of barrier likely extends across the entire perimeter.
One of the Oni then asks Naito if he can destroy it himself. Naito admits that he probably could, but he’s hesitant. Right now, the temple directly above is crawling with unaware tourists, and using his full strength to break the barrier might put innocent lives at risk. The Oni start panicking since they don’t have the authority to evacuate civilians. Naito narrows his eyes and starts thinking of another option.
Right then, the ever-dorky Juuji shows up and informs Naito that he picked up enemy signals earlier and already helped the injured evacuate to safety. However, several support staff and most of the students are still trapped inside. Naito quickly realizes they need to act fast to get everyone out—but first, the tourists above must be cleared.
Just then, a few Oni approach and mention a strange individual lingering near the entrance. But it turns out it’s just Homare, who has finally regained her senses. She mutters under her breath, saying she has no right to be in such a stunning place, while Naito is just relieved she’s okay.
Then, out of nowhere, Juuji shifts from nerd to certified creep, clearly revealing his unhealthy obsession with school uniforms. He bluntly tells Homare that he wants to give her his “first time” here and now because he doesn’t give a damn. She immediately recoils in disgust, while even Naito is left speechless because he genuinely thought Juuji was the most normal person in this year’s lineup of lunatics. Yep… plot twist!
Anyway, Naito quickly connects the dots and comes up with a plan. He realizes Homare’s ability can help get the tourists out safely. He guides her over to the forest surrounding the temple and radios Juuji, who’s stationed inside, explaining the strategy. The plan? Trigger a small earthquake followed by a minor landslide to make the tourists evacuate quickly.
Juuji is completely shocked by this idea, but Naito reassures him that the tremor will be mild and no one will get hurt, as the troops already stationed throughout the temple will assist in the evacuation. Afterward, Juuji is instructed to use his scanners to double-check that no one’s left behind.
With everything set in motion, Naito turns to Homare and asks her to summon the same giant female Titan she had called out before—because that’s the one that will trigger the landslide.
Homare hesitates, terrified of losing control again, but Naito calmly assures her that he’ll manage the aftermath. Even with his encouragement, she’s too scared to activate her power. So, Naito sighs, gives up on the spot, and tells Juuji that the landslide plan is scrapped—they’ll have to find a different approach. Then, turning back to Homare with icy eyes, he coldly declares that she’s expelled. He says there’s no room for liabilities on his squad and starts skating off.
Panicking, Homare stammers that she isn’t refusing to help—she’s just terrified of the power she can’t control. Naito replies that fear isn’t the problem; refusing to grow is. He brings up the tragic accident she caused in the past, the one that has haunted her ever since. He reminds her that every single person in his class has something horrible in their past too. They all carry trauma—but the difference is that they chose to face it.
He tells her that if she truly wants change, she has to take the first step herself because no one can do it for her. Then, with shaky hands and a trembling voice, Homare declares that she wants to change. Suddenly, she bites down on her thumb hard, and her blood spills out as power surges. The blood quickly forms into the towering figure of the female Titan, who immediately starts swinging at Naito.
Naito nimbly dodges Homare’s massive strikes as the ground trembles under the force of her blows. The mountain begins to shake violently, and Homare starts to lose it. She panics and apologizes, saying she can’t control the beast. But Naito just smiles and says it’s perfect—exactly what he was hoping for. Thanks to the Titan’s destructive rampage, the terrain starts breaking apart, and huge sections of the mountainside tumble down. Chaos spreads quickly as tourists panic, and the Oni guards shout for everyone to evacuate immediately.
Once the area is fully cleared, Juuji uses his radar ability to confirm that no one is left behind. With the job done, Naito turns to the Titan, stops holding back, and knocks Homare out cold, instantly halting the rampage.
Meanwhile, Shiki is in the middle of a battle with Yumogi, who is pelting him with a barrage of black cube constructs. Shiki tries to maintain some distance but doesn’t notice a cube appearing behind him, sealing him inside. Now trapped in pitch-black confinement, he realizes there’s no immediate way out. Yumogi smiles coldly and announces she’ll make this slow and painful. She begins collapsing the cube inwards, promising that by the end of it, he’ll be nothing but red paste.
Shiki swears he’ll break out using brute force, but Yumogi scoffs. As the space grows tighter, she lectures him about how the human brain spirals in confined spaces. Claustrophobia sets in, the mind shuts down, and helplessness takes over. She’s confident it will happen to Shiki—until she hears a chainsaw scraping against the cube walls. She’s stunned; how is that even possible in such a tiny space?
Before she can react, cracks spread across the cube’s surface, and with a deafening blast, the entire thing explodes. Shiki emerges, dozens of carpenter tools sticking out of his back, grinning like it’s just another day. He jokes that back in the day, he used to sleep in the vent shaft of a half-condemned warehouse—it was cold, damp, and smelled like expired tuna. Compared to that, Yumogi’s prison cube felt like a luxury resort.
Yumogi’s eye twitches in rage as she preps another attack, intent on ending him for good. But out of nowhere, a decapitated monster head lands at her feet.
The punker strides onto the scene, fuming that the Momotero thought sending weaklings could even touch him. Shiki tries to warn him off, saying this is his battle, but Akar has already made up his mind—he’s here to wreck anyone in front of him.
However, the second he lays eyes on Yumogi’s… assets, he completely loses his cool, launching into a wild rant about how she should dress properly and show some decency. Yumogi, of course, couldn’t care less what this loudmouth thinks about her fashion choices and tells him so with a smirk.
Akar then splashes his own blood onto the floor to trigger his ability. But Yumogi tries to trap both him and Shiki in one of her cages first. Sadly for her, Akar is way too fast and agile for her tricks. He slips past her barriers with ease and delivers a brutal kick straight to her jaw, knocking her off balance. Yumogi is stunned because she never saw it coming—but turns out neither did Akar. His ability is completely unpredictable and changes based on his fury. This time, his rage grants him enchanted crimson boots, massively boosting his reflexes and movement.
Akar mutters that maybe if he’d been angrier, he would’ve gotten a proper weapon, while Yumogi silently curses her luck because speedy types are her worst nightmare.
Outside the dome, Naito unleashes his signature technique, cracking open the barrier. The entire HQ starts rumbling violently, but to Naito, saving the trapped allies matters more than keeping the building intact. Inside, the team is alerted, and everyone has to evacuate immediately.
Back at the battle site, Naito and his team arrive where Shiki and Akar are already fighting Yumogi. Naito tells her she’s surrounded now and that after using her powers on such a large scale, she must be running on fumes. He advises her to surrender, claiming there’s nowhere left to run.
Yumogi just smirks, saying she had no intention of escaping anyway. She casts off her outer clothes, revealing herself now covered only by a thin veil of black bacterial armor. With a wicked grin, she declares she’s going to wipe out everyone in the room.
At the same time, Subakiri decides it’s time to finish things with Shiki. But Shiki quickly rolls out of range before the gravity surge hits him. He pulls out the rocket launcher again and fires, but the zombie twists gravity itself to stop the warhead midair. Subakiri then shows off another zombie power: forming a condensed orb of oxygen, made absurdly heavy through gravitational compression. He launches the orb directly at Shiki, smashing him and causing terrifying internal damage.
As Shiki doubles over in pain, Subakiri sneers, saying it’s unbelievable that he’s the son of Kishin, the legendary Oni commander once hailed as the strongest warrior in their ranks. Subakiri is disgusted at how far Kishin’s bloodline has fallen, but Shiki isn’t even sure if he should believe what Subakiri is saying.
