Souzai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokouki | A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai Ep 12

They all head out so Pun can track down the current location of Lelania, and they find a beautiful valley. Pun senses Lelania’s presence, and after looking around, they spot a group of elves hiding in the bushes. Pun assumes elves from different regions must have gathered here, which isn’t strange by itself, but Brolite notices her missing sister.

Ludakara is here as well. She soon recognizes Brolite, and the two run toward each other. Takeru initially thinks they are about to have a heartfelt reunion, but instead, they start fighting. Ludakara yells that she’ll never return to that stupid village to get married, but Brolite says that’s not why she’s here—she just wants to know why Ludakara ran away without saying anything. Ludakara explains she didn’t mean to, but she was so stressed it made her sick, and she couldn’t bring herself to talk about her decision.

As soon as Brolite hears this, she forgets about fighting and asks if Ludakara is okay. However, this makes Ludakara feel even more guilty. She smacks Brolite, and their fight resumes. Their brawl seems endless, so Klay asks Takeru if he wants to stop them. The other elves don’t seem concerned, so it’s probably not a big deal. Since it’s almost dinner, Takeru tells Brolite to finish her fight soon or she’ll miss out. Brolite doesn’t want to miss dinner, but Ludakara refuses to stop, leaving her stuck. However, when she hears that Takeru plans to make spicy fried chicken, Brolite immediately throws Ludakara aside and runs to the well to wash her hands, surprising Ludakara, as Brolite has never fled a fight so quickly.

Later that night, Takeru serves tons of chicken, and the villagers love it. But Brolite and Ludakara are still mad at each other and refuse to speak while eating. After the festivities die down, Takeru relaxes on the balcony. Bee seems tired, so he lets him rest on his lap. While they are out there, Ludakara comes over to talk to him.

She doesn’t know much about Takeru, but she can see why Brolite relies on him so much—he seems like a good person.

Takeru notices that Ludakara is holding a baby, so she introduces him to her son, Tilwisen. He is the most precious thing in her life and the reason she refuses to return to that village. She tells Takeru that she used to really love Brolite because she was the only one who would visit her while she was shut away in the shrine. That’s why she was so upset when she discovered Brolite was apparently cursed. But the elders only cared about maintaining the purity of the bloodline, and she couldn’t stand being around any longer.

This is the first time she has shared this with an outsider, and she’s surprised that Takeru seems so composed. He honestly doesn’t know how to react, having never faced anything like this before, but he can tell that Ludakara has worked really hard, which he finds admirable.

Just then, Ludakara’s husband calls her back to the party, so she gets up and goes to talk to him and Brolite. The next day, Takeru and the others enter the forest to continue their search for Lelania. Pun notes that they are getting much closer, but Klay wonders if leaving Brolite behind was a good idea. Takeru explains that Brolite and Ludakara still had a lot to discuss, so it was better to let them be.

Suddenly, Pun senses Lelania’s presence nearby—right behind Takeru. He immediately turns around to get a good look at the elf god, and it’s not what he expected.

Lelania seems to like him for some reason and begins explaining how hard she worked to leave the monument behind. But the elves never read it and left it sealed in the cave. Pun tells Lelania she doesn’t deserve to call herself a god after leaving her people unprotected for years. Lelania retorts that Pun has no right to lecture her, having spent decades sealed as a statue and abandoning her region the moment she was revived.

The two really don’t seem to get along, but Takeru doesn’t want to waste time letting them fight. He suggests they return to the elf village to prevent their race from going extinct.

Back at the elf village, Ludakara presents her healthy, non-incestuous baby to the royal court. Her mother and brother are happy to have a healthy child in the family. However, the elders are outraged that Ludakara would defy their instructions to marry her cousin, thereby “desecrating” the sacred bloodline. Both Ludakara and Brolite are shocked that the elders are still obsessed with bloodline rules, and it doesn’t seem like they plan to change anytime soon.

It looks like Lelania must intervene. She appears before the elders, calling them fools for letting things get so bad due to their rigid ways. She recalls once telling their ancestors to value kin, but never intended for them to take it this far. If they want their race to survive past this generation, they must abandon the strict rule of maintaining a “sacred” bloodline.

Takeru tells Klay and Pun that it’s time to leave, as the situation is now between Lelania and the elders. If all goes well, the elders will eventually understand they need to change their traditions. With nothing more for them to do, Pun asks Takeru to prepare her buttered potatoes, as he had promised her a reward and it is very important to her.

A few hours later, the royal court meets to discuss the kingdom’s future, while Takeru and the others have tea in the next room. After a short while, Takeru announces that he plans to head back to Belcane the next morning. Klay is surprised by how soon he intends to leave and asks what he will do about Brolite.

Takeru says there’s not much else to do. They have already found Brolite’s sister and figured out how to resolve the cursed bloodline issue, though the discussions will likely take a long time. Brolite can’t leave until everything is settled, so they must leave him behind for now.

The next day, Takeru, Klay, and Pun gather outside the village, ready to return to Belim. The royal court comes out to bid them farewell. The queen thanks Takeru for all he has done for the village, and Ludakara tells him he is always welcome to return. However, Brolite struggles to say goodbye. She asks Takeru to stay a few extra days, but he declines, not wanting to overstay his welcome. He still needs to report to the guild about the quest he completed.

Brolite understands but remains sad. Takeru and Klay remind her that they are still comrades, and distance won’t change that. Pun adds that if Brolite ever faces trouble again, she shouldn’t hesitate to call for help. Brolite bursts into tears, unable to accept that she won’t see her friends for a long time. Takeru wants to comfort her, but there’s little he can say, so he decides to get it over with quickly and says goodbye before leaving.

Once Takeru and the others return to Belim, he picks up the scissors he had ordered from the blacksmith and reports everything about his mission to the guild. After that, he continues his normal gathering activities for about a month. Meanwhile, back in the elf village, the discussions progress smoothly, and Ludakara’s son grows up healthy and strong.

Ludakara is glad she gets to spend time with Brolite, but asks if she’s truly okay being there instead of with her friends. Brolite says she misses Takeru and the others, but she’s already decided to improve her homeland to give them a bright future, and she will see it through to the end.

Time passes, and Takeru’s party continues their work. Today, they are in a field dealing with a monster. Bee finishes it off with a fireball, but Takeru is surprised it took so long. Pun tells Bee his power is still too low to handle an ancient dragon, which offends Bee, and they start arguing. Takeru tells everyone to calm down, noting that the important thing is they defeated the monster. They also gather some valuable materials, making the mission a success. Klay asks where they should head next.

Takeru realizes he hasn’t seen the ocean since arriving in this world and wants to go. Pun questions why he cares about the ocean when he has already seen her massive lake. Takeru says he wants to try sashimi. Klay suggests the Danish port, which sounds ideal, but remembers they still have unfinished guild assignments, so they must stay a bit longer.

However, bigger problems appear: in the distance, Takeru spots a giant worm heading their way with Brolite on top, and it smells just as bad as before. Brolite is happy to see everyone again, and Takeru is glad to see her, but asks why she left her family. She explains that her family told her they could handle the discussions themselves, so she was free to see the world, which surprises Takeru.

Meanwhile, the god of this world has been observing Takeru’s progress and is impressed by everything he has accomplished so far.

So, the god decides he will keep an eye on Takeru to see how far he can truly go.

He wasn’t expecting Brolite to return so soon, but she is still part of their team, and he’s happy to have her. Klay tells her that their next destination is the ocean if she wants to come, and Brolite is excited, as she has never seen it before.

Takeru says they should get going, and everyone agrees. But before leaving, he insists that Brolite send the giant worm away because it freaks him out.
